Paris Saint-Germain turned their Champions League clash with Celje into a record-breaking night. The French side scored 46 goals in a 46–35 victory, setting two new club records in the competition: most goals scored in a single Champions League match and most combined goals in a match involving PSG.

PSG were already nine goals ahead at half-time, leading 25–16, and showed no signs of slowing down after the break.

Bjarki Már Elisson and Elohim Prandi were perfect from the field, scoring seven goals each, while Mateo Maraš also played a key role as PSG continued to pile on the goals.

For Celje, Aljuš Anžic did everything he could to keep his side within reach, scoring nine goals.

The 81-goal thriller was PSG’s third win in three games, leaving them with a perfect start to the Champions League campaign. It was also a night that made club history in Paris.
