The EHF has announced the All Star Team for the U18 EURO. Finalists Germany and Slovenia dominate the team with three players each, while Slovenian star Jaka Podvrsic was named MVP.
Germany and Slovenia met in the final with the gold medal on the line, and Germany produced a dominant performance to claim the title. The Germans ran out 36–27 winners, with goalkeeper Tjorven Knackstedt playing a starring role between the posts.
Knackstedt’s impressive performance in the final earned him a place in the EHF U18 EURO All Star Team, with two of his German teammates also making the selection.
Slovenia also have three players in the team, while Denmark, Iceland, Spain and Israel are represented by one player each. Slovenian star Jaka Podvrsic was also rewarded for his outstanding tournament by being named MVP.
