The road to the 2026/27 EHF European League Women is officially underway. The European Handball Federation has confirmed all participating teams, with 32 clubs entering qualification round two and the draw scheduled for July 14.
The EHF has unveiled the complete field for the upcoming Women’s European League season, featuring 60 clubs from 29 different countries competing for one of Europe’s biggest club trophies.
Qualification begins in September, with 32 teams entering in round two. The two-legged ties will be drawn on July 14, determining the first step on the road to the group stage. The 16 winners from qualification round two will advance to round three, where another eight clubs await. Those ties will decide the final 12 qualifiers for the group phase, which begins in January 2027.
Four teams have already secured direct places in the group stage:
- JDA Bourgogne Dijon (defending champions)
- Thüringer HC
- Ikast Håndbold
- DVSC Skyline
Those sides will be joined by the 12 successful teams emerging from qualification.
Among the clubs entering qualification round two are several well-known European names, including IK Sävehof, Brest Bretagne Handball, CS Minaur Baia Mare, MKS FunFloor Lublin, Super Amara Bera Bera, Dunarea Brăila, Mosonmagyaróvári KC, and ZRK Crvena Zvezda, setting up what promises to be another highly competitive qualification campaign.
After the group stage concludes in February, the top eight teams will advance to the quarter-finals, with the EHF Finals scheduled for May 8-9, 2027, where the next European League champion will be crowned.
