Sola and Storhamar near final in Norway

Sola and Storhamar Elite got one step closer to the game for gold in Norway. As home teams in the first semifinal, the winning duo shone with a twelve and ten goal margin respectively.

Despite several players battling with sickness the night before the game, Sola took command against Molde HB – at least in the long run.

The team of Camilla Herrem pushed through in attacks towards the end of the first half and managed to continue the very productive display after the break.

Herrem tied with Selma Helén Henriksen as top scorer (seven goals) while Molde must bounce back quickly in the Thursday return game.

Storhamar laid the foundation for a similar convincing win early on versus Larvik. The reigning champions came well prepared and Anniken Obaidli found the net six times for 19–13 half-way. Mathilde Rivas-Toft helped to maintain a clear advantage and Storhamar controlled the game until 32–22.

Storhamar Elite–Larvik 32–22 (19–13)
Sola–Molde HB 39–27 (19–16)
