Top teams delivered in Denmark – wins for Odense & Esbjerg

Team Esbjerg and Odense Håndbold remain firmly in control at the top of the Danish Women’s League. And once again, Tuesday brought commanding victories — Esbjerg won 38–26 against Aalborg, while Odense defeated Silkeborg-Voel 42–24.

Esbjerg and Odense more or less always win, and this evening was no exception. Henny Reistad did not need to score 15 goals like she did in the Champions League last time out, but Esbjerg still cruised to victory without any problems. This time it was more of a collective effort, with the entire squad delivering solid performances.

Title rivals Odense were just as convincing against Silkeborg-Voel. Goalkeeper Yara ten Holte was outstanding, finishing with 19 saves and an impressive 45% save rate. And remarkably, every single outfield player got on the scoresheet for Odense.

One more match deserves a mention. NFH looked set to drop points against Horsens, but in the very last second of the game, Clara Lerby converted a penalty to secure a dramatic 35–34 win for NFH.
