All three medallists from the 2025 Youth Club Trophy – GOG, Veszprém Handball Academy, and Barça – have qualified for the 2026 final tournament in Cologne/Dormagen, joined by Füchse Berlin.
The final tournament of the EHF Youth Club Trophy 2026 in Cologne will feature four top U18 men’s teams, including all three medallists from 2025: defending champions GOG (Denmark), finalists Veszprém Handball Academy (Hungary), and third-ranked Barça (Spain). Füchse Berlin (Germany) complete the lineup.
Defending champions GOG dominated their qualification tournament in Bucharest, scoring 89 goals in two matches, including a 42–31 win over Sporting Clube de Portugal in the final. Emil Bak led the team with 26 goals across both games. Füchse Berlin also impressed, putting 101 goals past opponents in Porec, highlighted by a 51–21 final win over HC Eurofarm Pelister. Barça overcame hosts Szeged 32–23 in the semi-final and crushed Kolstad 40–17 in the final. Veszprém Handball Academy secured a narrow 39–38 victory against SC Magdeburg in a thrilling final in Veszprém.
These results set the stage for an exciting Cologne showdown, with the defending champions and other top contenders all aiming to lift the trophy again. The semi-finals will take place in Dormagen on 13 June, with the final at LANXESS arena on 14 June.
