Only allowing 43 goals in three games was a certain way to triumph for Norway. Türkiye and Croatia was easily defeated and the host nation Czech Republic couldn’t keep up with the dominant team, 37–15 in the end.
Norway had some key names return to play, Veronica Kristiansen after her maternity leave and Henny Reistad after her injury and rest period.
Passing the Friday game (42–10 versus Türkiye) and limited minutes against Czech Republic didn’t stop Reistad from being nominated mvp of the weekend and seven goals that created distance to Croatia (31–18) was impressive enough.
Kristiansen found the net twelve times all in all. In the final match Norway could rely on fast breaks with Emilie Hovden (eight goals) in the front line and a solid performance both in defense and attack from Stine Skogrand (seven).
In the next international week mid-october Norway sets sight for the start of EHF Euro Cup meeting Romania (home) and Slovakia (away).
