Kari Brattset Dale, key player in Norway and Györi ETO KC shares major and happy news. The 34-year-old is pregnant and takes a handball break in the following months.
Since several years Brattset Dale proved a resourceful heir after Heidi Løke in the national jersey. On her own merit she reached top level in the club world playing for Györ since 2018 and lifted the CL trophy last spring together with the mvp award.
In November 2022, the pivot gave birth to her first child and consequently returned to the sport venture in full capacity.
– We are very happy to be able to expand our family. Of course, it is boring to leave handball now, but it probably only gives more motivation to come back stronger. The body feels very good, and we are looking forward to meeting our little brother in March, says Brattset Dale to the website of the Norwegian handball federation.
For Norway, the reigning Olympic and European champion will have to adapt to a World Championship without one of their major stars.
