Germany ready for WC 2025: ”Continuation of our long-term plan”

Germany is one step further down the road to the World Championship on home ground. Markus Gaugisch has chosen 17 players to start the final preparations with three weeks remaining to the tournament.

– This squad is the continuation of our long-term plan. With this core group, we have consistently worked on our playing style and automatic movements since March, he says to the federation webpage.

Germany has a solid streak of Main round and quarterfinal places in the last years, but have yet to reach the medal weekend.

The 2025 selection will get a lot of support during their efforts, starting in the group stage with Iceland, Uruguay and Serbia as adversaries in Stuttgart.

– Together with our fantastic fans in Stuttgart and Dortmund, we want to play at the highest level, develop immense power, and thus pose problems for every opponent, the coach continues to the federation website.
