Ane Cecilie Høgseth moves to Ikast

Somewhat special circumstances lies behind Ane Cecilie Høgseth´s move from Storhamar HB to Ikast HB. Mid-season, the pivot shifts club and the one-year-deal for 2025/26 is supplied with a loan deal for the spring.

Høgseth cheered loudly for the European title with Norway in December. Just before the end of the year she was withdrawn from participating in the Norwegian cup final, won by Storhamar.

The club claimed personnel matters and TV2 Norway followed up with information that Høgseth first indicated a will to prolong her contract but later turned it down.

Anyhow, the solution soon presented itself. Both Storhamar and Ikast announced an arrangement which makes Høgseth available for the danish club for one and half year.

– We have brought in Ane since the summer on a 1-year deal. However, due to various circumstances, we have assessed that we have had to add a player to the squad in the short term. When the opportunity arose to rent Ane for the rest of this season, it seemed like the optimal option for all parties, says the club director Daniel Grønhøj to Ikast´s website.

Høgseth spent the autumn season in Champions League. Now she gets a chance to renew the experience of success in European League, the cup which was won by Storhamar last season.
