Sofie Börjesson moves from one Scandinavian CL club to another. Nykøbing Falster, who raised their European Cup status, signs the Swedish goalkeeper with a two-year contract, the club announces on its website.
Börjesson’s international experience, three seasons in the Champions League and a title (2023 with Vipers Kristiansand) will come in handy when NFH wants to increase its capacity.
– I am looking forward to playing in the NFH and meeting the fans and the team. The girls look like a great group and I’m looking forward to being a part of it.
– I hope to contribute with some routine and help us win matches and titles. I have got a good impression of the club and would like to be part of the journey towards being a top team in Danish handball, says the 27-year-old to the club website.
Another change could well be a less fierce competitive situation, Börjesson had Katrine Lunde to compete with for playing time in Vipers.
– We have big ambitions for next season and with Sofie on the team, we strengthen our opportunities to deliver at the highest level in the Champions League, says sports manager Søren Jakobsen to the club website.
