Eight games, eight wins for Győr in the Champions League. The Hungarian side defeated Storhamar 25–32 away in another impressive display.
The two-time reigning champions Győr are going for a three-peat in the Champions League. So far, they have been completely ruthless in the group stage, taking full points with an average winning margin of almost ten goals.
Storhamar, who sit on four points, had little to no chance as they welcomed Győr to Norway. The away team got out to an early lead and never looked back. At halftime, the score was 10–18.
Storhamar managed to keep up with Győr in the second half and cut the halftime deficit by a few goals. But Győr were always in full control and cruised to a seven-goal victory, 25–32.
Two other matches were played in the Champions League at the same time. Bistrița defeated Dortmund 32–36 away from home, and Budućnost made a great second-half comeback to steal a point against Esbjerg.
