Swedish pivot Sofia Hvenfelt has signed with French side Brest Bretagne Handball on a two-year contract running until 2028.
The 30-year-old returns to top-level handball after taking the 2025/26 season off following the birth of her first child.
Hvenfelt joins Brest from German club HB Ludwigsburg. During her career, she has also represented Swedish clubs Önnereds HK and H65 Höör, as well as København Håndbold in Denmark.
Head coach Tomáš Hlavatý described Hvenfelt as a talented team player and said the club will support her as she works her way back to her highest level after her time away from competition.
