Jesper Jensen answered to Ferencvaros calls with increasing interest. Tuesday his position as coach for the CL contender starting next season became known to the handball world.
With seven years in Team Esbjerg and a national coach assignment in Denmark from 2020, Jensen brings experience from the highest level to the Hungarian team.
His view on ”Fradi” also made the decision easier, when the management of Ferencvaros revealed a solid offer.
– I actually had the feeling for years that if I ever took a job outside of Denmark, FTC and Budapest could be a great place to do it, so I was excited when I heard the request, says Jensen to the club webpage.
– I am looking forward to joining the club, the Fradi brand, I want to create something special, I know what the team’s goal is, and this is very motivating for me.
– Ferencváros has a fantastic past, there is always pressure at a club like this, and I think everyone who signs here knows this – so I am looking forward to this pressure and working with those players who are brave enough to play handball at Fradi, he continues.
Ferencvaros is defending champion in their home country and reached the CL final in 2023.
