Nora Mørk stays in Esbjerg

Nora Mørk´s creative mind have inspired Team Esbjerg´s attacks since 2022. The Norwegian star will continue her international quest with the Danish team another two seasons, after the forthcoming coach change.

– I had other offers, but preferred to be in Denmark close to my home country and to be in a club with high European ambitions, she says to the club webpage.

Esbjerg introduces the extension as a Christmas present. Very true, considering the successful switch from Viper Kristiansand and the fact that Mørk has carried her new team with a winning mode.

However, there an adaption was needed when the 32-year-old arrived in Esbjerg.

– I am quite quiet and calm outside the field, and I wanted to have my base in place before I became more outgoing. But if you ask now, I think the other players will probably say that I take up a little more space. I want my teammates to be able to get along and for them to like me, says Mørk to the club website.

The track record of the back court player speaks for itself, six CL titles for clubs in three different countries. Mørk will have a key role if Esbjerg is to reach the title in any of the three remaining seasons with her at hand.

– Nora has invaluable experience in winning and a fantastic mentality. She is one of the world’s best players and the best guarantee that the collective attacking game works. That is why she is important to the club and to me as a future coach, says Tomas Axnér who assumes the role as head coach next summer.
