Hatadou Sako has secured a spot between the posts in Györi ETO KC for two more seasons. The Hungarian giant presents a contract extension, until 2029 with the goalkeeper.
– Hatadou Sako is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, who represents a huge value not only with her saves, but also with her personality and winning mentality, says Györ CEO Edina Fata to the club webpage.
With the new contract Sako will make Györ her longest stay in any elite club. The 30-year-old moved forward via OGC Nice and Metz HB in four-year-cycles before signing for Györ in 2024.
Sako is also a pillar for the national team, looking to defend the title for France during the upcoming World Championship.
– I am very happy to continue my journey in Győr. A few years ago I could not have imagined what I am experiencing today, and for that I am extremely grateful, she says to the club website.
Sako´s goalkeeper colleague Sandra Toft has a current contract until 2027.
