EHF Excellence Awards – three Champions League winners

The EHF has announced their Team of the Season, and with three players selected, the Champions League winners Győri were once again in the spotlight.

Stine Oftedal was able to conclude her club career in the best possible way with a Champions League title. Now, the 32-year-old has also been named Europe’s best center back when the “EHF Excellence Awards 2024” were presented on Thursday.

In addition to the center back, her national team teammate, 25-year-old Henny Reistad, was named the best left back of the season. The youngest player on the team was the French pivot Sarah Bouktit, born in 2002, who, with her 138 goals, was Metz’s top scorer in the Champions League.
