Cristina Neagu îs approaching the end of her iconic career. A date for the farewell game has been set, June 8 in Sala Polivalenta, Bucharest.
Neagu took the stage for a press conference where the plans to salute the back court player with a special presence on court were announced.
– I don’t want it to be a farewell, but a celebration. I want to enjoy the day with my former teammates and with the fans. It will be a special day, Neagu said to Digisport.
After being eliminated in Champions League by Team Esbjerg , CSM Bucharest and Neagu focus on the domestic calendar until the very end of the special season.
– I would like to think that I left a legacy in handball. If some children take the ball in their hands and want to be Cristina Neagu, it means I did something right. I can say that handball was a school of life. I educated myself through handball, she said according to Digisport.
