Buducnost became the first team in one and a half year to steal a point from Györi ETO KC.Brest Bretagne seized the opportunity to be the only team with maximum point in group B, while Team Esbjerg once again ruled on home ground versus Rapid Bucharest.
Buducnost´s defensive attitude proved tricky business for Györ´s normally productive line. The tactics of the Podgorica team almost threatened the giant to fall, but the guests had enough options to keep the pace high.
Ivana Godec and Jelena Despotovic led Buducnost to what almost could be counted as a victory, 23–23.
Brest Bretagne ran over HB Ludwigsburg after an impressive back court performance by Clarisse Mairot (eight goals). In the same direction, it was Henny Reistad show for Team Esberg with many supporting acts which cut off Rapid Bucharest from any attempts to win, 39–32.
When talking about successful shots, Cristina Neagu surely stands out. Her ten goals against Nykøbing Falster brought the total sum to 1 155 and a sole first place on the all-time goal scorer list. CSM required full attention from Neagu in a game with a lot of ups and downs which concluded in a narrow win, 27–26.
