After playing for six international clubs in full attack mode, Ana Gros is set to reach a milestone. EHF has done the summary of the Slovenian star efforts in Champions League – leading up to the exclusive mark of 1,000 goals.
Gros currently has produced 993 CL goals with only seven remaining to be the fifth player to reach 1,000. Brest Bretagne, where Gros has scored 315 times, will meet RK Krim in the last round of the group stage on Saturday which leaves the right back the first reasonable opportunity to be celebrated.
Cristina Neagu (1,232 goals) leads the overall score list with , Jovanka Radicevic (1,181), Andrea Lekic (1,073) and Anita Görbicz (1,016) being the other players with a four digit goal production.
Gros started her international career in Krim 16 years ago and is back in Brest for a second stint ending her career after the season.
