Ystad back in final lead

Ystads IF won another nail-biting drama in the Swedish final series. Kim Andersson might have played the last home game in his career, if so it was the perfect finish with the back court star scoring Ystad´s winning goal against Hammarby.

Andersson is in the process of ending an amazing career with another home town play-off. Next season the 42-year-old will be assistant coach working with Oscar Carlén by the bench in Ystad.

After three finals the goal difference is completely equal but Ystad leads 2-1 after Andersson´s first shot in the entire series finding the net.

Hammarby could have done more than a two-goal-lead in a first half with a lot of creative attacks from the away team. Ystad bounced back and the last 15 minutes were endlessly exciting.

The lead changed hands on several occasions until Ystad went for the experienced but somewhat surprising solution, Andersson made his mark and Hammarby stood no chance except for a quick 33–32 reply.
