Hammarby fights back – Final series wide open

Hammarby IF looked to be heading toward a difficult position in the Swedish play-offs. But with a burst of energy in the final quarter, the hosts flipped the script. Led by the duo of Martin Dolk and Josef Pujol, and with crucial saves from Linus Bergh, Hammarby handed Ystads IF their first loss of the finals.

The Swedish play-off ends with a best of five duel for the gold. Hammarby IF turned the Swedish final series on its head with a thrilling 37–35 win over Ystads IF on home court, tying the series at 1–1.

Ystad looked in control for most of the game, leading 19–16 at halftime and extending the margin to five goals midway through the second half. But in the final 15 minutes, Hammarby came alive. The large and passionate home crowd at Eriksdalshallen created an electric atmosphere that clearly lifted Hammarby’s performance in the crucial moments

Inspired by Martin Dolk and Josef Pujol, and with key saves from Linus Bergh, the hosts erased a 24–29 deficit with an 8–2 run. Dolk sealed the win with his ninth goal in a dramatic finish.

Despite strong performances from Ystad’s Kristian Olsen and Erik Hvenfelt, Hammarby’s late surge proved decisive.
