Bella Gulldén announces career end

National team icon and multiple CL-winner Bella Gulldén created a career without Swedish parallel. In a social media post, Gullden confirms the decision to step off the court.

Lugi HF became the  last elite club for the 35-year-old. In Lund, Gulldén also worked off the field to promote handball.

The cv is as long as the club addresses where the back court star performed in a central capacity. Gulldén was as dominant as it was possible to be in the absolute Swedish top with IK Sävehof during the 00s and beginning 10s.

After that, the professional adventure awaited abroad in ambitious clubs that could pursue title ambitions: Viborg HK, CSM Bucharest, Brest Bretagne and Vipers Kristiansand.

Gulldén also acted as a pillar in the Swedish jersey for 13 years and 224 caps.

“The first time I stepped onto the handball court, it was like finding home. Now, 28 years later, it’s time to say goodbye to what has been my life, my passion, my security,” she writes on her Instagram account.
