Vipers Kristiansand with record win – 64-7

Vipers Kristiansand could ease through the Tuesday game against Godøy. With some effort the Champions League squad managed to raise the bar, 64-7 meant that the winning team could celebrate new club records.

The unexciting game with interesting features took place in the last 16 round of the Nowegian cup. Vipers played at home versus Godøy, a team from the third division that actually was eliminated in the previous round.

In the aftermath to 6–45 against Volda information that the top flight team had played with a player whose license wasn’t cleared emerged. The result was annulled and Godøy prepared for a long ride with very slim chances to advance further.

Dina Frisendal was capable enough to stop almost all of Godøy´s attempts in cooperation with a superior defense. Statistic-wise her 19 saves (73 percent!) shone but Vipers also had three goalscorer on eleven – Tuva Alsaker Høve, Mia Sofia Emmenegger and Sunniva Amalie Næs Andersen.

The goal production meant that Vipers beat their previous best mark of 58 goals. The cup champion has also never conceded fewer than eight goals.
