Storhamar and Tertnes meet in Norway final

A new champion will be crowned in Norway. The best women’s team of Storhamar and Tertnes can lift the trophy after achieving success in the semifinal stage.

After the crash of Vipers Kristiansand the landscape in Norwegian elite handball has changed. Still, Storhamar has made it to their fifth straight final – this time with a high hope of winning it all.

Storhamar eliminated both Larvik and Oppsal with 2–0 overall. As the top team in the series, undefeated over 24 games the team also have the advantage of playing the possible deciding game at home ground.

Tertnes secured their final spot with a Thursday showdown versus Sola HK. The second half set the pace for a clear win, Birgitte Karlsen Hagen scored seven goals for Tertnes. Sola just didn’t play well enough to challenge the Bergen team, neither seven against six or an aggressive tactic on their own field worked while Tertnes rushed on to 35–27.

The first game in the final series is set for Monday evening.

Sola – Tertnes 27-35 (13-15)
