The Norwegian goalkeeper Silje Solberg is leaving the Hungarian club Győri ETO KC this summer. She will be moving back home to Norway to play for Vipers Kristiansand.
After a decade as a professional abroad, Silje Solberg returns home to Norway, where she will play for Vipers Kristiansand from the coming season. Here, she will form a goalkeeper duo with her national teammate Katrine Lunde in the hunt for handball’s finest trophy.
Solberg’s contract with Vipers runs over three seasons, so she will belong to the club until the summer of 2027.
– After ten years abroad for me and my family, this is the perfect time to come home. Additionally, Vipers Kristiansand is investing heavily and has won the Champions League three years in a row, so this is by no means a step down. It actually feels quite the opposite, and it feels unique to be able to compete for the biggest titles in my own homeland, says Silje Solberg to Vipers’ website.
