Kolstad secured their fourth consecutive league title on Wednesday evening after a commanding 39–24 victory over Drammen in the final.
Despite finishing second in the regular season behind Elverum, Kolstad once again proved their strength in the playoffs. They comfortably swept Nærbø 2–0 in the quarterfinals before suffering a surprising loss in the opening semifinal against Bergen. However, they quickly bounced back with two straight wins to book their place in the final.
Drammen, who had impressed by knocking out regular season winners Elverum 2–0, offered solid resistance in the first final but ultimately fell 30–34.
The second final, however, was a one-sided affair from the very beginning. Kolstad took control early and never looked back, cruising to a convincing win. Simon Jeppsson contributed with 13 goals in an efficient performance.
With this victory, Kolstad claim their fourth straight league title and continue to dominate Norwegian handball.
