USA in search of potential Olympians 

USA Team Handball have presented an initiative to improve player development on American soil. The project, iHandball, move on to Ohio for tryout sessions in December. All in all the federation sees a chance to advance players to a higher level.

On international level USA have taken part in the latest world championships. The prospect of hosting the Olympic Games in Los Angeles accounts for measures to expand the number of active handball players.

Athletes between 18 and 24 are encouraged to join whem the tryouts in Ohio are held from December 8th-9th and December 9th-10th.

After evalating the sessions, around 16 to 20 athletes will be put forward to the training program in theMidwest region.

Robert Hedin, head coach of the Men’s National Team will oversee the entire process, as well as accompany the athletes on a trip to Norway in June 2024.

– After coaching the USA National Team for several years, it’s truly exciting to witness the establishment of a high-level training ground for athletes in the USA, similar to what’s seen in Europe, Hedin said to the website of the national federation.

— This initiative holds promise in nurturing the development of future USA National Team players.
