Croatia yet to find head-coach – Still hoping for Sigurdsson

It has now been two weeks since Croatia sacked their head-coach, Goran Perkovac. The man who has been rumored to replace him was Dagur Sigurdsson. However, with two weeks gone by, no coach is secured to lead Croatia in the Olympic qualifiers.

The Croatia national team had a very disappointing Euros in Germany, forcing action. And Goran Perkovac was the man who had to leave. Dagur Sigurdsson was rumored to be his replacement and reportedly had meetings in Zagreb with the handball federation. However, two weeks have passed without any developments.

According to Handball-world, Sigurdsson remains the top candidate. The problem? His contract with Japan, which is not easy to terminate. Despite this, there are still many indications that Sigurdsson will be on the sidelines for Croatia in mid-March. But nothing is secured.
