The vacant role as head coach of RK Nexe is likely to be occupied by a trainer legend. According to Vecernji List, Vaseline Vujovic is ready to take over the role in just a few days.
Branko Tamse had to leave Nexe after a surprising defeat last week. His successor, as it seems, requires no presentation in local handball history.
Vujovic has had several assignments all over the Balkan Peninsula. Though, within Croatia, the 63-year-old has been closely connected with Nexe´s rival RK Zagreb winning both league and cup titles with the capital team.
His previous coach appearance concerned the national team Iran, until November of last year. Follow-up information from Balkan Handball indicate that Vujovic will take charge of Nexe on Wednesday, the day after the vice-champions European League duel with Gorenje Velenje.
