Fredericia Håndbold has announced the signing of Norwegian goalkeeper Torbjørn Bergerud on a contract running until the summer of 2029.
The 31-year-old joins the Danish club with immediate effect after most recently playing for Wisła Płock. Bergerud has previously represented Lugi HF, GOG, SG Flensburg-Handewitt and Kolstad, and has been a regular member of the Norwegian national team.
The signing strengthens Fredericia’s goalkeeping department as the club continues to build on recent seasons that have included medal contention in the Danish league as well as appearances in the EHF Champions League and EHF European League.
– Fredericia presented a project that I found both exciting and ambitious. After my conversations with the club, I could feel how passionate everyone is about the project, and that made the decision an easy one. I believe we can achieve something great together, Bergerud said.
