It was a goalfest as Flensburg welcomed Montpellier. After a tight game, the Germans managed to pull away late to a 40–35 win that secures their spot in the Round of 16.
It was all-out attack from start to finish between Flensburg and Montpellier. Neither side’s goalkeeper had much help from their defenses as the goals kept flying in. 21–20 was the score at halftime, and the offensive momentum continued in the second half.
For the home side, it was three players who stood out, with Patric Wolz, Nicklas Kirkeløkke and Simon Pytlick combining for 24 goals. For Montpellier, the scoring was more evenly distributed with Leo Plantin and Valentin Porte being the team’s top scorers with five goals each.
