Montpellier signs four players on three-year-contracts

Montpellier introduces reinforcements in shape of four players for the upcoming season. David Balaguer from Spain and Paris Saint-Germain, Swedish national player Jack Thurin and the two French resources Leo Plantin and Benjamin Richert arrives on deals until 2028.

After the departure of the iconic coach Patrice Canayer Montpellier is definitely on a new course, though still with European cup and high ambitions in Starligue on the agenda.

Three of the four newcomers announced earlier in the week has experienced French league handball before. As for Balaguer the experience go further and beyond with European championship gold and many years in top flights recently on the right wing for Paris Saint-Germain. 

PSG also contributes in the transfer by left wing talent Plantin. Richert from Chambery HB made it to ”Les Bleus” in the World Cup preparation and right back Thurin is currently top scorer for Aalborg HB in Champions League.
