Men’s European League returns after long break

Today marks the day of the return of the men’s European League campaign with eight matches on schedule. The tournament favorites and reigning champions, Füsche Berlin, begin their journey in Romania, while Portugal offers an exciting matchup.

After the group stages and a long international break, the European top handball returns with the European League main round.

The day starts at 18:45 (CET) with four matches, and the closest one beforehand takes place in Hannover. The home team takes on Nantes in group A. With the team coming off victories in their last league games, fans are up for a real treat.

Füsche Berlin travels to Romania to take on CSM Constanta. With their current form of 13 unbeaten games in a row, they shouldn’t have a problem with the Romanians. However, upsets can happen, and Constanta has proven to be a tough opponent at home.

The other two matches feature Kadetten Schaffhausen hosting Vojvodina and Gorenje traveling to Denmark to face Skjern.

The second round of matches starts at 20:45 (CET) with Bjerringbro-Silkeborg traveling to Flensburg with nothing to lose. Flensburg, on the other hand, seeks revenge after last year’s early exit against Granollers in the quarter-finals.

In Portugal, Sporting takes on Dinamo București in a match that could go either way. Both teams are yet to drop a point in their own leagues and in their last three matches against each other, only one goal has separated them.
