On a quite calm Euro 2026 match day all focus were on Malmö and the conclusion of group E. Sweden made the most significant mark with maximum points after three games and most importantly the two points carried on to the Main round table.
Netherlands–Georgia
In the last call for Euro 2026, Netherlands picked up two points against Georgia. Netherlands took the command around half-time with the goalkeeper switch and Jorick Pol entering the game made a significant difference. Georgia bowed out after gaining some fans in Malmö and a total score of 29 goals for the spectacular back court player, Giorgi Tskhovrebadze. Netherlands were clearly the stronger team (31–26) among the two not advancing from group E.
Sweden–Croatia
Sweden positioned very well for success in the home part of the championship. Third win in a row and a very convincing one where Croatia simply couldn’t keep up with the two-way-action from Felix Claar, the point performance from Eric Johansson or indeed the superb goalkeeping that Andreas Palicka provided in the second half. After 25–33, Croatia can still challenge the favourites in the Main round starting Friday.
