The Lisbon side, Sporting picks up a Spanish international in the squad. Victor Romero joins the team well in time for next season.

Romero had plenty of time to shine winning gold with the Spain´s junior national team. Since the the 21 year-old pivot has also made his championship debut on top level during World Cup 2025.
– I’m a somewhat atypical pivot, because I really like counterattacking, and if there’s one word that defines me, it’s versatility. I attack and defend, and I like to run on the counterattack, says Romero.
After reaching the quarterfinal last season, Sporting sets sight on a new season in Champions League which also suits Romero´s ambition.
– I really wanted to make my EHF Champions League debut with a team like Sporting CP, a club with incredible facilities. I think there’s nothing better than making my debut here, he continues to the club website.
