RK Eurofarm Pelister puts faith in a super experienced coach to renew their ambitious team effort. Lino Cervar will take over the job starting in the summer, according to a press announcement.
In his well renowned career, Cervar can look back on two previous assignments in North Macedonia. He coached the national team in the season including the 2017 World Championships and stood behind RK Metalurg Skopje between 2009 and 2017.
”Cervar did great things in Macedonia with Metalurg and the Macedonian national team, he affirmed many handball players, won titles, and also created mature personalities from his young guys”, the club writes in the press announcement.
The 75-year-old Croatian legend has signed a two-year contract with Pelister. Competiting for three years in a row in Champions League, the club has yet to reach to Main round. In 2025/26 they were defeated for the domestic Super League title by RK Vardar after three golden seasons.
”We feel that this is the right moment to entrust the project to Lino Cervar, and thus Eurofarm Pelister to rise to an even higher level than the years of three championship titles and participation in the Champions League”, Pelister writes.
