Interest from 21 teams for Champions League

EHF sets the scene for Champions League 2024/25. At the moment, nine clubs can be sure of their participation in the group stage while twelve other clubs wait for evaluation to be selected in the high-class tournament.

Only a few days ago, Barca won the trophy in Cologne. The reigning champion is once again on the safe side in preparations for a record repeat, with guaranteed competition from top sides as SC Magdeburg, Veszprém HC and Paris Saint-Germain.

EHF has power to distribute wildcards or ”upgrades” until the 16-team-format is fulfilled. The selection process leaves no room for uncertain projects and there is high demands only to apply.

Within the next week, twelve clubs are scrutinized on factors as venue capacity and results in EHF competitions of previous years.
