Hampus Wanne moves to Danish Høj Elite

The transfer buzz has now become official. Winger Hampus Wanne is swapping worldwide attention in Barcelona for high ambitions with Danish Høj Elite for the next three seasons.

Høj Elite currently dominates the second division with and seems destined for the top flight next season. 

By then, Wanne will be on site and ready to replace his Swedish colleague, Emil Mellegård bound for Paris Saint-Germain. The signing of Wanne makes it evident that but Høj could reach for the highest level in the search for a newcomer.

– Getting a player of Hampus Wanne’s caliber to Høj Elite is an incredible prestige for us. Hampus has enormous international experience and has performed on the biggest stage. For many years, he has been among the world’s absolute best in his position and he will undoubtedly become a key player for us, coach Jesper Fredin says to the club website.

Wanne moved abroad in 2013 and had a great development during nine seasons in SG Flensburg-Handewitt. In addition, the national team has of course benefited greatly from his brilliant counterattacks.
