Confirmed: Magnus Rød to Pick Szeged

Magnus Rød’s departure from Kolstad has been one of the worst-kept secrets in the transfer world, and now it has been confirmed. After just one season with the Norwegian club, the 26-year-old is set to move to Hungary to join Pick Szeged.

Kolstad, facing economic issues, has seen numerous players rumored to leave, and one of them has now been confirmed. The 26-year-old right back, Magnus Rød, will leave to play for Pick Szeged.

– I am joining an ambitious club with high goals and ambitions for the future and I hope we can achieve great results together, said Magnus Rød on Pick Szeged website.

The 26-year-old has played multiple seasons in the Bundesliga before joining Kolstad and is one of the key players for the Norwegians national team.

– I am very excited to join a great team starting this summer. Szeged is a club that I respected a lot as an opponent and always enjoyed the matches we played against each other. Personally, I’m looking forward to getting to know my new teammates, the entire staff and, of course, the fans, said Magnus Rød on Pick Szeged website.

Pick Szeged has already secured four other signings for next season in Jeremy Toto, Lazar Kukicks, Tobias Thulin, and Janus Smarason. They will be joining forces with the new coaching duo of Michael Apelgren and Jonas Källman.

– He has a great international routine, he played for years in the Bundesliga, he is one of the defining players of the Norwegian national team, said CEO Bence Kiss.
