Coach change in Zagreb

RK Zagreb reached the half way in the Champions League group stage with one win in seven games. After the loss against SC Magdeburg, Andrija Nikolić and his coaching staff resigned from their jobs.

Zagreb announces the decision on the club webpage. Nikolic who relieved Nenad Sostaric on duty during the early months of 2024 got the opportunity to continue in charge during the summer and fall.

From the eight and last position in the current tables, with a recent loss against the second to last team Nikolic and his assistant Ivan Cupic was dismissed.

Zagreb´s club management, director Vedran Šupuković and sports manager Damir Bičanić has started a search for new coaches.

Zagreb has participated in Champions League every season since 2002. Last year, the Croatian champion achieved twelve points in the first round and made it to the play-off.
