The EHF Champions League group stage concludes tonight, and the tension is at its peak in Group A. While Veszprém HC has already secured the top spot, the battle for second place is heating up between Sporting CP, Füchse Berlin, and PSG.
Veszprém HC has been outstanding this season, winning 12 of their 13 matches, which has already guaranteed them the group victory. Tonight, they face Füchse Berlin, who, with 16 points, must win and hope for a Sporting CP loss to claim second place.
Later in the evening, Orlen Wisla Plock takes on Sporting CP. Plock has started the year strongly with three consecutive wins. Sporting CP, currently leading the race for second place with 17 points, needs at least a draw to secure a historic direct spot in the quarter-finals.
The final match of the evening is between HC Eurofarm Pelister and PSG. Eurofarm Pelister is already eliminated but hopes to finish their campaign on a high note at home. PSG, also on 16 points, must win and hope that Berlin does not win and that Sporting loses to climb to second place.
