Barcelona and Aalborg meet in this year’s final of the men’s Champions League. Next season, they will face each other again, along with Champions League fourth-placer SC Magdeburg, in the group stage.
The Champions League season 2024/25 kicks off on September 11th with two groups, each consisting of eight teams.
Group A is considered the easier group with Wisla Plock, Veszprém, and PSG as the main attractions. The group also includes Füchse Berlin, Sporting, and Dinamo Bucuresti, all of which have previously played in the European League but are expected to challenge the big teams in the group alongside Fredericia Håndboldklub.
In Group B, three out of the four teams from the Final Four in Cologne earlier this year will meet. Adding teams like Kielce and ambitious Pick Szeged and Kolstad to the mix makes it’s the tougher group on paper.
