The Champions League delivers another thrilling night of handball action with four exciting matchups across Europe.
Orlen Wisla Plock caused a big surprise in their last match, defeating Paris Saint-Germain 31–28, and now sit in sixth place with six points, tied with Eurofarm Pelister. Füchse Berlin, who secured their knockout-stage spot last week with a 36–29 win over Fredericia, are one point behind Sporting CP. The two teams will meet with Berlin having won the reverse fixture 25–24.
Veszprém HC is in control of their group, sitting five points ahead of Sporting CP with ten wins from eleven games. A win here would almost guarantee their quarter-final spot. Sporting are the only team to have beaten Veszprém this season, with a dominant 39–30 win in the reverse fixture.
HC Eurofarm Pelister and Dinamo Bucuresti are both fighting to keep their knockout-stage hopes alive. Eurofarm Pelister lost 30–24 to Sporting last week, while Dinamo were beaten 33–26 by Veszprém. Eurofarm are seventh in the standings, while Dinamo sit fifth, and a win for Dinamo would secure their progression.
Barça, the current group leaders, will face Industria Kielce, who are in sixth place. Barça suffered a narrow 36–35 defeat to Aalborg but are still in strong form, having won the first meeting with Kielce 32–28. Kielce, struggling with five defeats in their last six games, will look to bounce back.
