In an exciting match, Pick Szeged managed to defeat HBC Nantes with a narrow goal, following a decisive shot by Bodó Richárd in the final seconds.
Michael Apelgren’s team could celebrate as winners after an intense match that was decided in the closing moments. Szeged started strong and took an early lead of 4–1. However, Nantes recovered and managed to keep pace but never took the lead on the scoreboard before halftime.
Valero Rivera stood out for Nantes, scoring a total of ten goals. In the second half, the French team took control, and Szeged found themselves playing catch-up. However, Apelgren’s men regained the initiative and took the lead at 30–28 after a penalty from Sebastian Frimmel.
Nantes did not give up and gained some momentum when they scored to make it 32–31. But in a dramatic twist, Bodó Richárd found the net to secure the victory for Szeged.
