Aalborg secures Swedish rising star Felix Möller

Felix Möller was brought up in handball in IK Sävehof. Now it is confirmed that the pivot is moving to Denmark to play for Aalborg Handball.

Felix Möller has been loyal to Sävehof throughout the years. But now it is confirmed that the 21-year-old, starting from next season, will belong to Aalborg on a three-year deal.

Möller’s Anticipation: Eagerly Awaiting Aalborg Challenge

– I am extremely grateful to have walked all the way from youth to the A-team. It has always been an honor to wear the yellow and black jersey. I want to thank all the old coaches and players who have helped me over the years; without them, I would never have been where I am today, says Felix Möller to Sävehof’s website.

– Felix is always at the forefront when it comes to professionalism and the desire to win. He has developed tremendously in recent seasons, earning him a place in the national team. We are proud of that. We wish him good luck in his upcoming adventure,” says Jonathan Stenbäcken, sports director, on the club’s website.

Despite his young age, Felix Möller has significant international experience with IK Sävehof. He has also already made his debut in the national team.

– Felix has already demonstrated high quality, and it is no secret that there was significant interest in him from several top European clubs. We are therefore really pleased that he has chosen us based on the vision and dreams we have at Aalborg Handball,” says club director Jan Larsen, on the club’s website.

– First and foremost, I am really looking forward to the new challenges. I have heard very positive things about the club from former players, and it will be exciting to try my skills at a European top club like Aalborg Håndbold. I have been following the club for several years and am eager to become a part of the team this summer,” adds Felix Möller.

Jesper Nielsen is leaving after the season

The arrival of Felix Möller also means that the current pivot Jesper Nielsen is leaving the club. So far, Nielsen has played 91 matches and scored 189 goals for Aalborg. But now, the club announces that Jesper Nielsen will depart after the summer, having played three seasons in Aalborg.

– We have been – and are – really happy with Jesper both on and off the field, but unfortunately, the recent period has been marked by a prolonged injury. Jesper is, when injury-free, one of the league’s best pivots, and it is with regret that we must bid farewell. Fortunately, it’s only until the summer, and right now, the rehabilitation is progressing well, so we hope to see him back on the field soon, says Jan Larsen.

– I am really happy to be in the club, and it is therefore sad to say goodbye this summer. I expect to be ready to return to the team soon and contribute to the pursuit of more medals before saying goodbye after the season, says Jesper Nielsen.
