Pick Szeged lost the away game in Tatabanya. Even worse, Janus Daði Smárason had to abandon the game with what looked to be a serious injury.
Smarason scored four times for Pick Szeged until the injury occurred late in the game. As seen in a video posted by the Danish Handball specialist Rasmus Boysen, reactions indicate a long-term knee injury for the Icelandic international.
Szeged still leads the Hungarian league with the same number of points as Tatabanya, with one more game played.
