Péter Lukács to join PICK Szeged this summer

Hungarian playmaker Péter Lukács will join PICK Szeged on a two-year contract, starting July 1, 2026.

Lukács currently plays for Norwegian club Elverum Handball and has previously played for PLER-Budapest, Ferencvárosi TC, and Veszprém. He has signed a two-year contract with PICK Szeged, which will keep him at the club until June 30, 2028.

– It is a great joy for me to be signed by a club with such a strong history and achievements, and from this summer I will be able to wear the OTP Bank-PICK Szeged jersey. I am filled with anticipation and excitement to start working together with the team. I don’t really need an introduction to the squad or my future teammates, as I know them all well, and last summer we even faced each other at the international tournament in Elverum. It was a great honor to be approached by Szeged, I signed my contract with pleasure, and I’m really looking forward to playing in one of Europe’s most beautiful arenas in front of their fantastic fans, said Péter Lukács.
