After completing her first year playing abroad, Alicia Toublanc will be ready for a club switch next summer. The French right wing player arrives at DVSC Schaeffler with a two-year-deal.
Toublanc had her professional debut in Brest Bretagne 2017, following good development she also established herself in the national team from 2021.
Last year the 28-year-old took the decision to join SCM Ramnicu Valcea for two years. However, after an agreement between Toublanc and both involved clubs the transfer will be fulfilled in a few months time.
– DVSC Schaeffler contacted me and I immediately felt that it was a great opportunity. The Hungarian championship has always been attractive to me, I wanted to try myself there too. So we clarified some details regarding the contract and quickly agreed, Toublanc says to the club webpage.
With national team mates Océane Sercien-Ugolin and Catherine Gabriel already in the club, Toublanc will see some familiar faces, as well as getting a more long-term experience in Debrecen.
– I played against DVSC Schaeffler in the Champions League, even as a Brest player, although the game in Debrecen is not a very good memory, because we lost and we also met recently in the Europa League, so I was already a Valcea handball player.
– Debrecen made a very good impression on me every time. A fighting team with good players, who I think can do great things. I know that the key players will also stay next year, which I think is important, because it gives stability to a team, but I also know that there will be others next to me, so we will have a good team, Toublanc continues to the club website.
