Tim Nothdurft transfer confirmed – Rhein-Neckar Löwen with double signing

Tim Nothdurft´s switch to Rhein-Neckar Löwen was indicated by German media earlier this week. During a press conference Friday, Löwen presented the wing player plus Sebastian Heymann on the roster for the next season.

At the expiration of his current contract, Löwen Legend Uwe Gensheimer will step off the court in the coming summer. Nothdurft will try to follow in his footsteps when he leaves Bergischer HC for a club with even higher ambitions.

– After a very long time in Balingen and two years at the BHC, the time has come to take another step. I want to be part of the development of Löwen, I want to help make them a top team again and I’m ready for the responsibility, he said during the press meeting.

Nothdurft has also made it to the national team, where one of his colleagues turn out to be a teammate. Rhein-Neckar Löwen secured Sebastian Heymanns signature after negotiations with the 25-year-old from Frisch Auf Göppingen.

– Sebastian fits the profile we are looking for very well. He covers in the inside block, enjoys playing at speed and is strong in duels, both offensively and defensively, the Rhein-Neckar Löwen coach Sebastian Hinze said at the press conference.
